Named for J. M. W. Turner’s painting Regulus, which gives the book its cover and its presiding light, this collection carries forward the threads of Mylar — fatherhood, language, the nuance of consciousness — and braids them with early Western history, where horizons sprout horizons.
The poem it grows from, “Ideology of Sky,” first appeared in Tupelo Quarterly.
